Our Story
Why we built Campaid — and why it matters.
It started with a real problem. Three college students were juggling classes, bills, and everything in between. Like a lot of students, they needed money — not a full-time job, just something flexible. Something they could do between classes on a Tuesday, or early on a Sunday when they had a few spare hours.
They had used gig platforms before — apps that let you set your own schedule, work at your own pace, and actually build something on the side. They loved that freedom. But when they looked around campus, they realized there was no version of that built for college life. The students who had a few spare hours and needed cash, and the students who needed small things done, had no real way to find each other.
So they built one. Campaid is the idea that every student deserves a fair shot — whether you're trying to make rent or just need someone to help move a couch. Built from the ground up so that anyone can post a task, any student can earn on their own terms, and everyone walks away with something. No gatekeeping. No unfair rates. Just a platform where students help each other out — and get paid fairly for it.
